In a world that is consistently demanding more and more from us and at lightening speed, a world that can be so judgmental and full of bad advice, it is so important that we recognize this is not the root of who we are and how we are valued. The way we are valued is quite the polar opposite. One of my resolutions for the blog this year is to be a messenger to share with you weekly reminders of where true beauty lies which is within us and is so intricately intertwined with my greatest love of all, God. I hope that the weekly reminders that I so desperately need to get through the week can help you along your path as you walk in your new year resolutions. Get The Look
I love this look, I wore something very similar to it to a couple of christmas parties and a new year’s eve party. I had the best new years eve ever, it was the right way to start off the year. The short sleeves in this look is perfect for those bigger gatherings where it gets warmer in the space. Especially if you are dancer like me, the short sleeves really help to keep you cool. I love the accent of navy blue in these boots and the leather trimming of the skirt. I am also loving the exposed ankle design of these boots, such a cute accent to any outfit. One other piece that I love about this outfit is the way this crop jacket fits perfectly above my waist to outline it and not hide it, it is so important for someone like me with a smaller torso.
