Are you waiting to shed those last few pounds before you start investing in your look? Or perhaps you are waiting for some extra money so you can invest in your look?
I have some good news for you; you don’t have to wait for these scenarios to come to pass. You can start working on your look now.
Your look is a transformation process one that contains phases. The more you invest in the process, the more your look will speak louder of who you are.
Good news is you don’t have to buy any new clothes right now!
The first phase of the process is just like the detox phase of transitioning over to a healthier diet. You have to get rid of the toxins to rejuvenate your body.
Same thing with your wardrobe we need to start by getting rid of the toxins associated with your clothing to rejuvenate your look. Some clothing toxins can include clothing that no longer fits, clothing no longer in good condition, or clothing that doesn’t inspire you.
A well and organized wardrobe is the core structure needed to build your individual inner-beauty look.
Invest an hour or two by doing the following exercise. Go through your dressers and closet and make three piles of your clothing;
1 ) Haven’t worn it in the past year – When you look at this article of clothing does it excite you? If not then it’s time to depart. If you are still excited about the clothing proceed to pile 2.
2) Haven’t worn it in the past year but still am excited about it – Neatly fold these clothes in a box and place under your bed for the time being.
3) You have worn it in the past year and get excited about it every time you look at it.
If you are currently on a weight-loss program and have clothes you love and haven’t worn in over a year because they don’t fit, place these clothes in pile 2.
We will be hosting a clothing swap the first weekend of March, if you are in the Chicagoland area take any clothes in pile 1 over to our event to sell or swap. Go ahead and tuck away pile number two in a box under your bed for the time being. Neatly organize your closet with pile 3.
The goal we are shooting for with your wardrobe is to keep is simple and exciting. Having fewer pieces in your closet that you absolutely love will bring you more daily inspiration.
You would be amazed by how many different looks you can make with just a few beautiful pieces.
Try it. I challenge you to get rid of as many toxins as possible. I know this may seem like a lot of work; if you can’t do the entire exercise in one time-slot break it down into short 30-minute time intervals throughout the week or month.
Trust me, when you see that woman walking down the street with a fabulous look know that she has taken the time to put that look together.
You deserve to express yourself just like that woman; the world is waiting to see the real you!
