Its been a while since I have posted, so I wanted to stop by the blog today and tell you what I have been up to.
The truth of the matter is I have and am going through a long season of the unknown. It has been teaching me to let go; I never realized how much I have been holding on to the vision God has placed in my heart for the message of inner beauty.
I have learned that the vision will not be unveiled the way I think it should be unveiled but it will be unveiled the way God plans for it to happen.
I have learned just this past week, that limitations are not my enemy. I am not sure if you have ever felt that way like you were stuck because you had so many things going against you that you immediately felt defeated.
I learned that beauty is made when we embrace our limitations. When we focus on the limitations, we feel defeated prior to ever getting started, but if we look at all the possibilities and opportunities within the limitations, we move towards innovation. We move towards creating something that has never been created. (Erwin McManus, The Artisans Soul)
I have also learned that innovation comes from limited resources, passion for a message of inner-beauty, and not being afraid to fail in public. Side note*……. I was blessed to check out the Mosiac Conference in Hollywood California this past November. IT WAS AMAZING!!!! The creativity of this church is insane!! I loved it and the people so much.
Okay back to what I was saying about innovation, I learned this from Craig Groeschel speech at the conference. God confirmed for me at that conference that I was exactly where I need to be to create something innovative.
I have so many ideas, and I have released them to God to confirm what he wants me to do with these ideas. Thank you for keeping me and the blog in your prayers, it means so much! I know two things keep coming up in my spirit and that’s to share a message of inner beauty by creating a whole new language for beauty. The other is creating spaces and experiences where women can experience the essence of beauty.
God has blessed me with the privilege to serve at the women’s ministry at Community Christian Church in Plainfield, where I am currently teaching a 5-week session on inner beauty. I am so so so so excited to be able to share with women a message that gets me on fire every time we talk about it!! It brings a tear to my eye when I see a woman grasp for the first time the essence of God’s definition of her beauty.
I have given all my talents, gifts, time, skills, ideas, …. all of it to God and will continue to do what he tells me to do. Even when it doesn’t make sense I will continue to do as he says and let him unveil the story of my life.
Stay beautiful!! Let’s keep in touch. Tell me how you are doing. What’s new with you? Send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I would love to hear from you.
