Hello Beautiful, the winter season has arrived in full effect here in the midwest, we have 5 to 6 inches of snow and as I write this blog post the temperature is barely -5 degrees outside. The winter season is so hard to embrace, but once we come to terms with it, we realize there is so much beauty in the winter season. I got some really great shots and footage of the beautiful snowfall this past week, I am planning to share on MGL’s social media accounts this week. Follow us for some inspiration this week.
This week we are speaking about the third aspect of beauty that God defined for me almost 10 years ago and that is Beauty has a burning desire.
A reflection of the original post to this discovery;
“As I looked at the flowers in the greenhouse, I remembered a story my friend shared with me. She said one flower doesn’t look at another and say, “Oh you are more beautiful than me”. No, a flower knows its beauty is one of kind. But what’s even more beautiful is when you place different flowers together in a bouquet, where they complement each other and magnify each other’s beauty even more.
I had a vision of a stadium as big as Soldiers Field, where it was filled with women and I could sense the beauty/fashion industry’s presence in the vision. I was on the stage and as I looked to my right, I saw a group of women start a wave and it started slowly and trickled up into the top bleachers and eventually became this huge motion across the who stadium. It kind of felt like the Beyonce concert I attended there not too long ago. Women were on fire!!! This is where I discovered my purpose, I am here to start the movement.”

Today as I reflect on what God showed me back then, Psalm 37:4
“Find your delight and true pleasure in Yahweh, and he will give you what you desire the most.”
There is a footnote on “delight” in the TPT translation is says “The word delight meant to be soft or tender”
I retrospect, I can see why I was having this beautiful God encounter. I had left my job, my school and everything on my schedule and was obedient and went to be with God up in the mountains for a couple of weeks. To be honest my whole world fell apart right before that trip so to let everything go and just “Be Still” did not feel like an option, nonetheless, I knew God was calling me. I know I was able to see Him because I left myself completely vulnerable (soft and tender) to Him. He knew I had to let go of the things that had my attention and were defining me, so He could show me who I truly am. I had been so imprisoned to my job, status, relationship, and my definition of success that it held me back from being who I truly am. All these things I desired up to that point, had exhausted me. When I achieved some of these things, they were empty and depressed me more.
Psalm 103:4-5 TPT
“You’ve rescued me from hell and saved my life.
You’ve crowned me with love and mercy.
You satisfy my every desire with good things.
You’ve supercharged my life so that I soar again
like a flying eagle in the sky!”
Verse 5 says in the NIV
“who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”
When God showed me the wholistic picture of beauty as it relates to a single flower and a bouquet of flowers, it blew my mind, because in my life experience it has always felt like a competition. Then He “renewed my youth like the eagles”, He birth a burning desire in my heart that had been dead for decades. The excitement of seeing women on fire for God’s beauty. I remember that Beyonce concert, all the women at the concert were cheering for miss queenbee and God was showing me what He is doing in the spiritual realm that He desires to bring forth in our earthly world. I was like a little kid, full of wonder. My imagination started to run wild with all the creative ways this could come to pass.
“You draw near to those who call out to you,
listening closely, especially when their hearts are true.
Every godly one receives
even more than what they ask for.
For you hear what their hearts really long for,
and you bring them your saving strength.”
I have not arrived or figured it out. Please don’t look at me like someone who is accomplished, I fall short of His glory. That was a HUGE vision God downloaded to me and for something like that to come to pass, it takes a lot of FOCUS on God. I am recognizing it also comes with a great COST. I share this experience with you because He told me He wants to download so many visions and burning desires into His bride. He wants to bring back the burning desires of their youth, to free His Bride from the bondage that holds her back. He wanted me to tell you He is faithful to keep his promises. Questions to Journal this Week
My prayer for His Bride this week;
Whatever it takes, Lord, align our desires with yours, so that our dreams align with your purposes. Let your will be done through us. Remove the distractions that we currently have on people, places, things that are defining us and replace them with our true identity which is defined by you.
Looking forward to hearing what God shares with you. Leave a comment or send me an email, email@example.com. I want to pray with you on the restoration of this burning desire!
